Setup

Begin by clicking on "Setup"

The OCR Router Setup Menu will open.

Enter the following and click on test. Please note the last tested settings will always be saved.
1. SMTP Mail Server Name
2. From Address that will appear on eMail
3. From Name
4. SMTP User ID
5. SMTP Password
6. The Port to Access your mail
7. Place a check mark if SMTP Authentication is Required
8. Select the Output for the OCR text
Note: OCR is not 100 percent accurate and when parsing the text in an OCR'd document in some instances the output can be adjusted to increase accuracy.
For instance, character codes can be picked up in a middle of a word that although not seen in a text editor such as Note Pad, they will be picked up by the parsing engine. These codes can be eliminated if desired. Another issue is that on occasion, the OCR engine will pick up text such as a "s" and return a upper case "S". The OCR Text Extraction menu allows the user to select which is the best extraction method for their documents. The descriptions on the menu are self explanatory.
9 . If extraction is set for custom codes enter the ASCII Characters to be extracted.

Click on Test Mail when it is confirmed click on Save to return to the Main Menu.
